Blu here,
The meeting was productive.
Jedi is taking it upon himself to make something happen here. TFS has always found it's leader when it has really needed it. This time it's just taken awhile for someone to take charge.
Better late than never.
Jedi will be seeking out some members to help him totally redo TFS. He has full disclosure to do whatever he thinks he needs to do also. Ranks are getting redone. Masters can count on their ranks to remain but most Shadows are going to get an honorable discharge, welcomed back if and when they show what we know they can do.
I'd say at this point only VET section Shadows and Shadows that would qualify for a VET section will earn a serious look from TFS for help. There are a few exceptions, GenericFernArmy and Roxhoundoz for example who are active currently who are a part of the NEW TFS but most names on our leaderboards will likely go dark. Even if they haven't officially left.
At this point we need Shadows who are in with both feet. If you aren't, your time in TFS is done (or on hold at this point).
My suggestion is for the time being, we will only allow rank ups (under the new rank system Jedi is making) by recruiting. Also, any new recruits MUST be getting an Xbox One (or at least plan to be getting one). We don't want a 3 month clan hopper... But then again, ranks are Jedi's call here.
TFS is old, for it to be new we need to get a bit more green.
Anyone that is opposed to these plans, the time for you to voice your words is right now (and at the meeting you missed).
Also, Halo 4 is where we are going to make this happen. Not CoD, not Reach, not any other game. We are a Halo clan and a current GAME Halo clan. We do respect the Shadows that play Reach still but don't expect the website support you once thought you had.
Xbox One is another story... I'm thinking Titanfall until Destiny is here.
I do expect anyone in TFS to get into uniform asap as well. I will see if Jedi is for or against a full uniform approach for the time being as well (just like in Halo 3, only more modern!) Dedication and numbers is what we need. A few rules like this may weed out the flakes...
One last thing I'll say here is the negative talk ends here. No more Halo bashing. No more 'clan is dying' crap. I will leave any parties or games that have anyone not following up such a comment with a way to fix things immediately.
Also I don't want to hear excuses from anyone on why they can't play, yet they play other games etc. Just be in this clan or don't be. Don't drag it out and b.s. anyone. You aren't fooling nobody.
TFS will exist as long as a group of people believe in it. Even if that group qualifies as a single squad. Even if that group is of two people. I think the clan still has members even after they leave it. Case in point, the meeting tonight was composed of about 10 people over the course of the night, half of which aren't in the clan anymore - they were just people that still cared about TFS.
The website will go through some major changes shortly. But the main focus will be in Halo first. Data won't be up in one swing, nor will we just chuck that out the window either.
So, for real. I invite all of my friends to return to the game you actually do enjoy- but have forgotten you did. I invite you back to the clan you 'think' you were bored of but aren't. And lastly, I invite you all to challenge one another once more to make something better than we can tell you to do. To just surprise us! Make new records and break old ones. Make new friends and make those who aren't your friends at least better people.
