The good news is also bad news here. Yes Destiny will likely come sooner than Halo 5 will. Yes it will be a return to form for some of the naysayers of Halo 4 but it is still a long ways away. It won't even be here until 2014, perhaps late that year.
So we have some major time to kill and some major challenges ahead to ensure TFS survival. Yes one option we could do is suspend the clan and ask everyone to regroup 1 week prior to Destiny or Halo 5. But we'd be lazy and fake to do so. If you want to be the best, you have to learn during the hard times. And just do the work and not 'claim' to be the best.
Right now we are not the best. That's ok but I know anyone that cares here wants to be.
We will be fixing some parts of the clan over the next year, mainly how Ranks work. If a game lacks something subjective like Ranks, we can fix that thankfully. Gameplay and graphics obviously we are up S#!7 creek though.
If you all remember how TFS started it was to prep a group of gamers for the next big thing at the time, Reach. My plan to save this clan will be to treat Destiny as the next big thing while using Halo 4 (and some other games) to build a family once again with a familiar name. Yes, morons will look at our name and think same name, same problems. So we will let them live in the past and be wrong with those thoughts. I'm not interested in any of the b.s. that only destroys. I'm for the new, the next, and the better. Anyone sticking by us I want to only learn from the past but not bring it up as we build back up. Bringing it up will bring us down if you catch my drift.
Those members that stick with TFS now will be the ones that lead this clan during it's hard times and INTO the great times once more. This year is going to SUCK compared to the peaks we have had before but it can also be rewarding if you are doing the rigth things for the clan. I've always had a blast in TFS, even on the crap days and the long months. You can and you WILL too.
So how will we make it to 2014? Slowly, carefully and by building a new gaming family here. Perhaps we refrain from using the word community here. How about we call it a gaming family?
I think we've recruited like 10 players since Halo 4 launched. It's something horribly low. Whether you are new or old you are EXPECTED to bring life back into TFS. If you are not prepared to do this, please retire for the time being. We need to know what we have and if all we have are amazing people that are worn down, it won't help us. As amazing as they are, it just won't get us there. I hate that it is this way too. I wish the rules were different but my wishes won't be what can build TFS. My actions alone are what can.
So start digging Shadows. The great times are still out there.
