Blu here,
Over the last few weeks other older TFS members have been mentioning to me something that I've already been thinking about at times. RedRizer deserves to be a Master Shadow for what he's done here. Pharroh, Larry, Jawbreaker and many more have all been vocalizing what many others are thinking.
I'm sure he'll push some of this spotlight to some of his main supporters like Giraffe or Grim to name just two but his story is much more than just his time in Halo 5, even though what he's done most recently has been his most important work to date. One could argue it has been TFS' MOST IMPORTANT efforts a shadow has ever undertaken.
Halo 5, like Halo 4 hasn't appealed to the original Halo gamers out there as much as a newer school of players. Myself included in this group, it's a good game but it isn't what I've been longing for in a Halo game. To avoid the same fate TFS had in Halo 4, Rizer has done nothing short of a full reboot here. In Halo 4 we just didn't play it after 6 months from release. In Halo 5 he's found new members that do.
I have no doubt at this point TFS will reach one of it's high points in members and activity, if it hasn't already. The most interesting thing about this all is I'm happy to realize that I can't tell the story of this new chapter of TFS because I haven't been a large part of it. It's the first era of TFS where I can't tell the story. Rizer has been THE guy.
Pharroh and I spoke long ago about finding a new 'founder' or 'founders' of TFS because the clan has been around so long now that the title and the respect that comes with it really doesn't suit us anymore. We're less active and the real respect should go to the guys/gals that show up TONIGHT and bleed cyan for us. I hope this helps do this here.
The core Rizer has built for TFS to grow around is the main reason he gets this Shadow of Valor and his Master Shadow rank. However it is supported by two things. 1 is the simple timing of him doing this as the sword was falling to him and had he not caught it, TFS would have disbanded. 2 is also from his days in Vapor and Phoenix squad as well. It was epic even looking back at it today.
You've earned it Dagger. Congrats. I can't wait to see what comes next. And I haven't been able to say that for a long time here.
This is likely the last Valor I personally hand out, although this was more of a community selection here. A reminder anyone that is a Master Shadow is allowed to award one. The reasons can be anything, as long as they are special or extraordinary.
